Calculate Concrete Volume
Typical: 4-6 inches (100-150mm)
Typical: 5-10%
Typical: 150 lb/ft³ (2400 kg/m³)
How it Works
Volume = Area × Depth. We calculate volume in ft³ or m³, apply an optional waste factor, and convert to cubic yards or cubic meters. If you provide a concrete density, we also estimate weight.
Inputs Explained
- Area & Depth: Enter length, width, depth, and units.
- Volume Direct: Enter volume and units directly.
- Waste Factor: Add 5-10% for spillage and over-ordering.
- Density: Default 150 lb/ft³ for weight estimates.
Example
Area 20×10 ft (200 ft²), Depth 4 in (0.33 ft):
- Volume = 200 × 0.33 = 66 ft³
- Adjusted (5% waste) = 69.3 ft³
- 2.57 cu yd → 1.96 m³
- Weight ≈ 5.2 tons (150 lb/ft³)

Tips & Notes
- Add a waste factor (5–10%) for over‑ordering and spillage.
- Concrete density varies; use a supplier's value for accurate weight estimates.
- Use the preset buttons for common project sizes.
FAQs
1 cubic yard ≈ 0.7646 cubic meters. The calculator does this automatically.
Around 150 lb/ft³ (2400 kg/m³). Adjust based on your mix design.
It supports both. Choose your units for inputs and outputs.
