LSAC GPA Calculator
Estimate your LSAC (CAS) GPA in minutes. Add your courses, credits, and grades, and we’ll convert to a 4.33 scale with LSAC‑style inclusion rules. This is an educational approximation—LSAC makes the official calculation. Explore more tools on free calculators on CalculatorBolt.

How it works
LSAC converts letter grades from all undergraduate coursework to its own scale (commonly approximated as 4.33 with A+). It then recomputes your GPA across all included attempts and institutions.
This tool approximates that process with a configurable 4.33 table, repeat handling, and inclusion/exclusion toggles. Your official CAS GPA may differ.
Formula: GPA = Σ(credits × converted_points) / Σ(included_credits). Rounded to 3 decimals for visibility.
Inputs explained
- Term/Institution: optional (helps you group courses)
- Credits: credit hours that count toward GPA
- Grade: select from A+ through F and symbols like P/W/I/AU/CR/NC (adjust in Advanced if needed)
- Include?: auto‑checked based on grade type; change it if needed
- Advanced: edit the conversion table; choose presets; set repeat/withdraw/pass rules; import/export; reset to defaults
Example
Courses:
- Fall: Chem I (4 cr, A) → 4.00 × 4 = 16.00
- Calc I (4 cr, B+) → 3.33 × 4 = 13.32
- Lit (3 cr, A−) → 3.67 × 3 = 11.01
- PE (1 cr, P) → excluded (credits not in denominator)
- Spring: Bio I (4 cr, A−) → 3.67 × 4 = 14.68
- Hist (3 cr, W) → excluded
- Econ (3 cr, F) → 0.00 × 3 = 0.00 (included)
Σ included credits = 18; Σ grade points = 55.01 → Estimated LSAC GPA ≈ 55.01 / 18 = 3.056 (display 3.056 and 3.06)
Tips & notes
- LSAC typically includes repeated attempts and may treat “WF” as an F. Pass/withdraw/audit/incomplete are generally excluded, but details vary.
- Your school’s “forgiveness” policies don’t change LSAC’s recalculation. Use “forgiveness mode” only to compare your institutional GPA vs LSAC‑style.
- Keep good records: import your transcript CSV or paste rows, then export/share for planning.
